Stars of TV, music, film and more graced the red carpet last night to celebrate the 2011 Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards.

The annual ceremony - hosted by Carol Vorderman - pays tribute to ordinary people who have been chosen to receive recognition by a panel formed of well-known figures and celebrities.

Among those in attendance at the event at London's Grosvenor House Hotel were Piers Morgan, The Saturdays, Tulisa Contostavlos, JLS, Olly Murs, Amy Childs, Peter Andre, Jo Joyner, Coleen Rooney, Michael McIntyre, Ed Miliband and many more.

Cheryl Cole, wearing a floor-length pink dress designed by Victoria Beckham, also attended the ceremony, where footage of her recent trip to Afghanistan was shown. Writing on Twitter before the event, the popstar admitted that she still gets nervous prior to walking the red carpet.

The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards will be broadcast on Wednesday at 8pm on ITV1.
