Michael Jackson trial: Conrad Murray's girlfriend asked about propofol

Conrad Murray's girlfriend has testified at the ongoing Michael Jackson manslaughter trial in Los Angeles.

Prosecutors called Nicole Alvarez to the stand to detail the doctor's busy schedule during Jackson's 'This Is It' tour, and was asked about medical shipments delivered to her address by Murray.

Authorities claim that the shipments contained the anaesthetic propofol, which helped lead to Jackson's death. Alvarez said that she received the shipments, but never opened them.

Prosecutors have called Murray's three other former girlfriends, including Houston cocktail waitress Sade Anding.

Anding said that she had an 11-minute call with Murray on the day of Jackson's death, before losing contact with him.

"That's when I realised he was no longer on the phone," she recalled. "I said, 'Hello? Hello?' I put the phone closer to my ear. I heard mumbling of voices that sounded like the phone was maybe in his pocket or something, and then I heard coughing, and nobody answered."



Anding and two other women who Murray had called his "girlfriend" explained that he had revealed Michael Jackson as his patient, which authorities have claimed is a violation of doctor-patient confidentiality.

Las Vegas pharmacist Tim Lopez also testified on Tuesday, telling the court that he shipped propofol to Murray.

Lopez said that the doctor had told him the drug was stock for a clinic he was running in Los Angeles supplying a number of patients.

The trial is scheduled to continue for another five weeks and Murray could face up to four years in prison if found guilty.
