Heather Mills says she fears assassination, following the path of former Beatle John Lennon.
The estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney has been seen filming people on the streets who she fears will make an attempt on her life. She also worries about the possibility of daughter Beatrice being kidnapped.
Her friends have expressed their concerns over Mills' health and habits. One friend told The Sun: "We are increasingly concerned about her behaviour. Naturally Heather is protective of her daughter but she is even more paranoid about her own safety."
