The couple announced that they are expecting their first child together last month. Speaking to Real Radio North East, the Saturdays star said that she would leave Foden to pick the child's name.
Healy explained: "I've suggested a couple of names to him, which it won't be, because he shot them down straight away. So I said, 'Fine, you can pick the name then!'"
The 29-year-old said that her own name had been chosen by her father, admitting that she did not know how "he thought of it actually".
Meanwhile, Healy said that she will find out the sex of the child when possible, telling Sunday morning Breakfast hosts Sarah & Sibbers: "I've decided I want to know."
The full interview with Healy and bandmate Mollie King will be broadcast on Sunday between 10am and 1pm on Real Radio 100-102fm.
The Saturdays release new single 'My Heart Takes Over' on November 13.
