The Gossip Girl star attended a series of speeches this week in New York City, where demonstrators have gathered to oppose a variety of political causes.
Badgley said he felt a need to lend his celebrity status to the growing youth protest movement.
"I mean, listen, it's cheesy. But I want to do whatever I can," Capital NY quotes him as saying. "Let's be honest: I'm on f**king Gossip Girl... It's absurd that celebrity power is what it is, but, like, use any tool you have, you know?"
Badgley is the latest celebrity who has appeared at the Occupy Wall Street rallies since they began several weeks ago.
Filmmaker Michael Moore hailed the demonstrators last week and insisted that their efforts are "just the beginning" of a political movement.
Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon and comic Roseanne Barr have also addressed the protestors in recent days.
