Orlando Bloom determined to be 'hands-on' father

Orlando Bloom has said that he is determined to be a "hands-on" father to his 10-month old son Flynn.

The actor, who is married to Australian model Miranda Kerr, said that he plans to schedule his work so that the three can always be together.

"I just don't want to be away from him - at all," Bloom told Radio Times. "We are trying to schedule our lives so that, when I'm working, Flynn and Miranda can be with me.

"Time with my son has pretty much gazumped everything else that makes me happy."

Bloom is about to begin filming on Peter Jackson's The Hobbit two-part film, the first instalment of which will be released in December 2012.

The Three Musketeers will be released on October 12 in the UK and then on October 21 in the US.
