Denise Welch despairs at drunken Bahamas trip purchase

Denise Welch has shared her frustration at being lumped with a luxury holiday that she purchased while drunk.

The Benidorm actress accidentally landed a trip to the Bahamas at a recent auction, but had failed to get excited about her unwanted prize due to the "windy and rainy" weather abroad.

"I'm going to the Bahamas where, apparently, it's windy and rainy. I'd rather stay in England," she told The Mirror.

"To make matters worse, I'm not going there through choice. I bid for the trip when I was p*ssed at an auction. I was simply trying to be helpful and get the price up."

She further speculated: "Obviously everyone else at the do realised it was hurricane season though and didn't bid. I've been stuck with it."

Welch reprised her role on the Loose Women panel when a revamped version of the show starring Carol Vorderman and Sally Lindsay launched last month.
