Amanda Seyfried: 'Dominic Cooper love life makes me hurt'

Amanda Seyfried has said that she still finds it difficult to hear ex-boyfriend Dominic Cooper talk about his love life.

The Red Riding Hood actress dated her Mamma Mia! co-star on and off for two years before they permanently split in May 2010.

Seyfried explained that although she is happy to still be "in touch" with Cooper, their closeness has left her open to heartbreak.

"Dom is my favourite person in the whole world and one of my closest friends," she told Glamour. "It does hurt sometimes [to hear him discuss who he's seeing] but I wouldn't want us to ever stop being open with each other. If you truly love someone, I think you should be able to tell them everything."

Seyfried added that she is in no rush to settle down and considers forward planning to be "pointless" at the age of 25.

"I try not to look to the future," she said. "I don't want to be making plans past this month or next month.

"When you're in your mid-twenties, your feelings change so dramatically from one moment to the next, so it's pointless to think too far ahead. My new philosophy is to live for now."

Seyfried was said to be "devastated" when Cooper reportedly reunited with an ex-lover in August.

She has been romantically linked to a sports entrepreneur and a New York real estate executive since her split with Ryan Phillippe in June.
