Kelsey Grammer "excited" for grandchild

Kelsey Grammer is reportedly "excited" at the prospect of becoming a grandfather.

The Boss star's daughter Spencer is expecting her first child with husband James Hesketh. She told People that her father is looking forward to having a baby in the family.

"I mean, he loves babies," Spencer said. "Doesn't everyone love babies? They've got a certain smell and stuff, so he's very excited for that."

She went on to say that she is thrilled to be pregnant.

"We spend our lives thinking about ourselves so much," she added. "I'm excited to meet the baby because he's just been living inside my belly for the last nine months."

Starz recently renewed Boss for a second season before the first even aired.

In August, Kelsey revealed that he will eventually give up acting in favour of politics, confessing that he looks forward to cultivating a career in the political arena as he grows older.
