Jon Cryer has said that he and Charlie Sheen bonded over The King's Speech.

The 46-year-old actor revealed that while Sheen was engaged in a public feud with Chuck Lorre, he still found a way to relate to his former Two and a Half Men star.

"When all the craziness was going on, I texted him, 'You've got to see The King's Speech," Cryer told Maxim. "And we had a long text conversation about the performances."

Cryer went on to say that he was astounded that Sheen was able to carry on a coherent conversation about the film, quipping: "Turns out he was at a porn convention and was texting from underneath a pile of naked porn stars."

Sheen was fired from Two and a Half Men in March following the series of controversial remarks made by Sheen about show creator Chuck Lorre.

The actor recently admitted that his behaviour was silly, claiming that his life is now a lot "calmer" and "mellower" since he has reached a sober state.
