TV presenter Sara Groen names new baby daughter Estelle Kathryn

Sara Groen has given birth to a baby girl.

The Australian TV weather presenter, who is married to businessman Clark Kirby, welcomed daughter Estelle Kathryn Kirby on Wednesday.

Groen's representative told the Herald Sun: "Clark and Sara are thrilled to welcome [their] beautiful little star, Estelle Kathryn Kirby, to the world. Mother and daughter were incredible and are resting well. Getting to know each other."

When Groen announced her pregnancy in May, she said that she and Kirby were very "happy" about the news and looked forward to becoming parents.

The couple married in a private St Kilda ceremony in January this year. She described it as "the best day ever", while Kirby said that his bride looked "absolutely beautiful".

After the wedding, Groen and Kirby went on a month-long honeymoon across three continents. She said: "We went to the Maldives, then to Austria to the snow, and then we finished in South Africa. Clark planned it. He did an incredible job - it really was the trip of a lifetime."

In April, Groen accepted a role on Melbourne's news team, saying: "I am looking forward to it. It is a wonderful opportunity to be back with [Channel] Seven.

"The timing is great. I have had the chance to settle into my new home town and now I am ready for this."
