The Hannah and Her Sisters actress has given the school more than 35 hours of personally-shot video footage on Sudan's cultural and agricultural history for preservation, reports The Hartford Courant.
Farrow said that she decided to donate the video collection and other items out of fear that Sudan's history will be lost as so many of its citizens flee famine and war.
The Darfur collection is currently on display at the University of Connecticut's Thomas J Dodd Research Centre.
Farrow has travelled to Darfur on several occasions over the last ten years to highlight the region's humanitarian crisis.
In September, she visited with refugees in Kenya as part of her duties as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador.
