The Rush Hour star is said to owe more than $4.4 million (£2.8 million) to SunTrust Bank, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Consequently, foreclosure papers have been filed on the comedian's $6 million (£3.8 million) mansion in Florida.
Tucker purchased the home, which is located on Lake Apopka in the Bella Collina neighbourhood, in 2007.
In July of last year, the Internal Revenue Service revealed that Tucker had fallen behind on his tax payments from 2001 through 2006, resulting in a $11,571,909.26 (£7,426,203) bill.
Tucker is reportedly considering a role opposite Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in David O Russell's The Silver Linings Playbook.
The actor was last seen in the 2007 movie Rush Hour 3.
