Ronnie Wood 'takes sabbatical from girlfriend Ana Araujo'

Ronnie Wood has revealed that he has ended his relationship with 29-year-old model Ana Araujo.

The 64-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist told the Daily Mail that he is "taking a sabbatical" from his partner after two years together.

"I'm taking a sabbatical from her," he said. "I'm like Picasso, painting up the ladder after leaving his mistress at the bottom after a row."

Friends close to the musician have speculated that their age difference was one of the main reasons for the break-up.

"Ronnie's desperate to remain sober and he found it a real ordeal being dragged along to all these parties with free booze on tap,' a friend told the Daily Star.

"Ana loves going out, but she forgets Ronnie's been partying for 40 years and is happier staying in these days."

Wood previously dated 23-year-old Celebrity Big Brother contestant Ekaterina Ivanova.
