Kylie speaks out about cancer ordeal

Kylie Minogue has spoken out about the moment she was told she had cancer.

In an interview with Cat Deeley, the singer said: “The moment my doctors told me, I went silent. My mum and dad were with me. We all fell to pieces. I was saying, ‘No, I’m getting a plane.’ They said, ‘No you’re not. Sit down.’ ”

Kylie talked in detail about her fight against breast cancer in the interview, which forms part of a documentary called Kylie In Her Own Words, made for Sky One.

Minogue made her first proper public appearance last week, at Elton John's White Tie And Tiara Ball.
