The Mean Girls actress is required to make weekly visits to a therapist as part of her sentence for allegedly stealing a $2,500 (£1,580) necklace back in January.
However, Lohan was suspected of disobeying the court and violating her probation when she travelled to Paris for work last month.
The 25-year-old has now claimed that she still spoke to her therapist on the trip, with TMZ reporting that two 45-minute sessions were held during her time abroad.
Lohan also says that the trip was cleared by both her probation officer and her therapist.
She is expected to address concerns at a progress hearing with Judge Stephanie Sautner next week and will reportedly accuse the probation department of being "out to get her".
Lohan faced fresh legal issues earlier this month when a limousine company filed a $90,000 (£56,000) lawsuit against her over an unpaid bill.
