'Twilight's Nikki Reed, 'American Idol's Paul McDonald marry in Malibu

Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald have married in a private ceremony.
The Twilight actress and former American Idol contestant exchanged vows in front of family and close friends in Malibu on Sunday, a representative for Reed told Us Weekly.
The couple said in a brief statement: "We couldn't be happier! [We were] surrounded by our family and friends. We're so glad this day has come."
Reed and McDonald first met when the American Idol contestants attended the premiere of Red Riding Hood earlier this year. The pair were filmed talking and embracing, and McDonald later said to camera: "Is she a famous actress, or something? I'd probably hang out with her."
Following his exit from American Idol in April this year, McDonald told journalists that the pair were dating, describing Reed as "super cool, super smart [and] a really cool girl".
The pair became engaged in June and Reed said that McDonald was "taking control" of their wedding planning in between writing songs.
