Speaking to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning, the director recalled his feelings of optimism in the week before the star's passing.
The 34-year-old told This Morning: "She certainly was relaxed, she was happy. She was just like normal Amy really, just sort of running around the house, just doing the normal things she would do every day.
"She went to the gym every day which was just part of her religious routine, and we were looking forward to going to St Lucia for her birthday.
"We were chatting and I remember, 'Everything is going to be different now'. Everything felt good...It couldn't have been further from what was going to happen."
