Stalker makes Hilton increase security

Paris Hilton felt the need to increase the number of security staff protecting her after an encounter with a stalker.

The 'Stars Are Blind' singer usually takes the pitfalls of fame in her stride, but was shaken by news that a man wielding a knife and claiming to be her fiance turned up at her father's office.

She told TeenHollywood: "I've had a lot of stalker incidents, and I usually can handle them."

"But the scariest one was when a guy turned up at my dad's office and said he was my fiance. He forced his way inside and the cops discovered he had a knife on him. That was freaky," she exclaimed.

Twenty-five-year-old Hilton decided to take positive action to ensure her safety, and employed extra bodyguards.

"Now I have a lot of security all the time so I feel safe. I guess that's one of the things you have to learn to live with, but it's still scary," the star added.
