Sheryl Crow has spoken about her feelings concerning her break-up with cyclist Lance Armstrong.
The pair enjoyed a five month-long engagement but split in February, shortly before Crow went through a difficult period after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
In a revealing interview with Vanity Fair, the singer spoke about how she dealt with the news and her continuing feelings for the athlete.
"I know he wanted to be there. I would have loved for him to have swept in and carried me through," she said.
However, Crow decided that it was better to rely on her family, and seek solace in her music.
"I still feel bruised. I still feel really raw and vulnerable – not just from the breakup but the whole experience…But the nice thing about my job is that there is a catharsis that I get to experience when I play," she added.
