Propofol expert Steven Schafer continued his testimony from Wednesday, where he claimed that Conrad Murray had incorrectly administered the drug.
Schafer argued today that Jackson had more of the drug lorazepam in his body than Murray had admitted giving to him on the day he died.
The expert also explained that propofol is not fatal if swallowed, which appears to contradict another defence theory.
Jackson's death was ruled to have been caused by an overdose of propofol combined with lorazepam.
Murray has explained that he had given Jackson a dose of propofol and four milligrams of lorazepam, and his lawyers have alleged that the singer took more amounts of both drugs without the doctor's knowledge.
Schafer said that Murray would have given only 10% of the amount of lorazepam in Jackson's body based on the timings he had explained at the time.
He explained: "It's only 10% of what was measured, so this did not happen."
Prosecutor David Walgren asked Schafer: "The blood levels proved that there is more than four milligrams of lorazepam administered to Michael Jackson?"
Schafer replied: "Absolutely."
Murray's defence team dropped their original claim that Michael Jackson swallowed the anaesthetic propofol himself last week.
The trial is scheduled to continue for another three weeks and Murray could face up to four years in prison if found guilty.
