Nicole Richie launches 'cool, classy and edgy' fragrance

Nicole Richie is to launch a new fragrance.

TPR Holdings president Brian Robinson told Women's Wear Daily that Richie's new fragrance will have a "cool, classy and edgy" scent that will reflect the designer's image.

While the 30-year-old designer has not picked out a name for her perfume, she has apparently already put together mood boards for inspirations on her latest venture.

"[Richie] has a wide breadth of creative talents being an author, a jewellery designer, a fashion designer and an aspirational figure," Robinson said.

Last month, Richie denied any feud with another celebrity-turned-designer, Jessica Simpson.

Both stars serve as celebrity mentors on NBC's upcoming reality show Fashion Star.

"I'll tell you right now that that couldn't be further from the truth," she said. "I actually love and adore Jessica. I've known her for years, first of all, so I already knew who she was as a person."
