Tim Burton has designed a balloon for this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The acclaimed director's balloon character 'B. Boy' was conceived for a 2010 exhibit at New York City's Museum of Modern Art. Burton was inspired by the idea of leftover balloons from children's parties at London's Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Burton admitted that a request to create a float for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was an unexpected pleasure.
He told The New York Times: "It's such a surprise to be asked, and it was great. It's such a surreal thing that you don't even believe what you're hearing. Somebody's trying to play a joke on you or something. It had that kind of feeling."
Burton also commented that he loved the chance to draw attention to the hope and sadness that balloons can express.
"There's always been something about balloons. You see them deflated and you see them floating. There's something quite beautiful and tragic and sad and buoyant and happy, all at the same time," the Dark Shadows filmmaker added.
Spider-Man, SpongeBob SquarePants, Kermit the Frog and Mickey Mouse balloons will also be displayed during the celebration.
The 85th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will air live from New York City on Thursday November 24 from 9am EST on NBC.
