'Get Shorty' author Elmore Leonard, wife Christine divorcing

Christine filed court papers to end the marriage earlier this year, but didn't disclose the cause of the split.
A lawyer for the 86-year-old Out of Sight writer said that Christine's choice not to reveal reasons for the divorce is "pretty standard", reports Detroit News.
Court proceedings are to begin on December 12.
Elmore and Christine married 18 years ago, but have no children together.
Matt Dillon and Brendan Fraser recently signed on to star in a film adaptation of Elmore's 1988 novel Freaky Deaky.
Be Cool, Valdez Is Coming and Touch are among a number of Elmore novels which have been made into feature films.
