Arctic Monkey can't afford designer prices

Alex Turner left an old school friend stunned after he was spotted shopping in Primark.
The Arctic Monkeys frontman made no apologies for avoiding designer clothes stores - informing the old pal that he can't afford high prices. It is unlikely that royalty payments for the band's best-selling debut album will come through for some time yet.
A source told The Sun, "The old mate couldn't believe Alex was picking out cheap clothes so he went up and asked him what he was doing in Primark with all his money.
"Alex spat back, 'What money? You probably earn more than me!' He was with a girl called Lindsey, thought to be his girlfriend."
