Voight still wants Jolie reunion

Jon Voight has spoken about his continued belief that he will reconcile with estranged daughter Angelina Jolie and get to meet his new granddaughter Shiloh.

The veteran actor fell out with Jolie in 2002 after telling the press that he wanted her to "get help" for "serious mental problems" but since then has made several pleas for her to contact him.

With the recent birth of Jolie's first child, the Deliverance star is once again hopeful that the rift can be mended.

After the birth of Shiloh Nouvel, he also told MSNBC: "I'm almost unable to describe how deeply happy I am for her parents and so happy to have this new little one in the world."

He also recently told Access Hollywood: "I certainly would have thought that we would have returned to love [and] been able to express our love and devotion to each other before this, but it'll be around the corner, I'm sure of it."
