Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael Lohan arrested on domestic violence charge

Lindsay Lohan's father Michael Lohan has been arrested on a battery charge.

Police were reportedly called to Michael's Tampa residence following a dispute with his ex-fiancée Kate Major, according to The AP.

Michael apparently suffered chest pains when police took him into custody and was rushed to nearby St Joseph's Hospital.

He was released after being checked by doctors and then transported to Hillsborough County Orient Road Jail to be booked by police.

Michael was previously arrested in March following an alleged physical confrontation with Major.

Domestic violence charges against Michael were eventually dropped when Major refused to co-operate with prosecutors.

However, Michael was ordered by a Florida judge to stay at least 500 feet away from Major at all times earlier this month.
