Updated: Steven Tyler 'injured in hotel shower fall', Aerosmith gig rescheduled

Steven Tyler has reportedly suffered a "nasty fall" in a hotel bathroom in Paraguay.

The American Idol judge is said to have hit his head and knocked out some teeth, according to TMZ.

Tyler was in Paraguay to perform with his Aerosmith bandmates tonight, but the concert has now been rescheduled to tomorrow (October 26).

The singer has now been discharged from hospital, according to his spokesperson, and sources told the publication that his accident came about as a result of dehydration caused by food poisoning.

Tyler recently revealed that his autobiography may be turned into a movie. He explained: "[The book is] collected thoughts. It's all this s**t I've been thinking about for 40 years. This whole thing with Aerosmith has been like a dream come true.

"It's like it's been plotted out and planned and written about before. Every time something happens, I think, 'Is this a movie?'"
