Johanna Griggs has revealed that she has no career regrets.
The Australian television personality, who quit her job as a newsreader last year in order to spend more time with her sons Jesse and Joe, said that deciding to leave work was the "right path" for her at the time.
Griggs told New Idea magazine: "[I don't regret it] for even one second! Nine months down the track I miss the crew and the deadlines and all the fun of the newsroom, but I'm more certain than ever I took the right path staying home to be there for my boys, to shape and guide them - and be a taxi service on weekends, if that's what it takes.
"I knew I only had a short window of time before they became strapping young men and it seemed to happen in the blink of an eye. [15-year-old] Jesse is taller than me now and fitting into [husband] Todd's shoe and [14-year-old] Joe isn't far behind."
Griggs said that lots of fans sent her negative mail complaining about her leaving work, but she ignored them.
"After almost 20 years in the media, I'm quite used to people wanting to have their say," she said. "But ultimately I wasn't making up my mind for anyone but my family."
Griggs recently revealed that she was devastated when she lost her aunt to motor neurone disease last year. She also said that discovering her mother recently had a near-fatal fall was "frightening".
