The 23-year-old former Miss Universe Australia, who has become a successful television presenter over the past two years, said that she "can't wait" to be a trackside reporter for the Seven Network at the Melbourne Cup this year.
Finch told the Herald Sun: "I love the fact that I'm asking the questions. I love the fact I'm able to delve into these peoples' lives and find out what I want to know.
"As a kid growing up you see all these people on your TV screen and in the magazines and when you meet them in the flesh, you're the one with the mike saying, 'Hi, we're chatting to Tina Arena, what can you tell me about yourself?'"

Celebrities including Sex and the City's Sarah Jessica Parker, burlesque star Dita Von Teese and reality starlet Kim Kardashian have all confirmed that they will be attending this year's Melbourne Cup.
Finch said: "I can't wait. The Kardashians are coming, I'm definitely intrigued by them. I think it takes a very strong personality to put your lives under the spotlight in a reality series the way they do. It will be interesting to see what the girls are like in real life. Kim is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous, so I can't wait to chat to her."
When asked if she would let reality TV cameras into every aspect of her life like the Kardashians, she said: "I don't think so. I like my privacy but you'd see my Uggies, my cup of tea every night. I'm a grandma."
Finch said that she "knew from a young age" that she wanted to "keep on achieving and setting goals" for herself, but said that she is "so grateful" to Miss Universe for giving her "so many unique opportunities so quickly".
