Rachael Finch: 'Michael Miziner relationship is a dream come true'

Rachael Finch has described her romance with dancer Michael Miziner as a "dream come true".

The former Miss Universe Australia, who got engaged to Miziner earlier this year after they met as partners on 2010's Dancing with the Stars, said that she "never imagined" she could be so happy in a relationship.

Finch told the Herald Sun: "It's a dream come true, it really is. I never imagined it in my wildest dreams. I was just completely swept off my feet when I met Michael. It still feels like that after almost two years."

Despite being upset at recent split rumours, she said that she understands that there is bound to be public speculation surrounding her life because she is famous.

Finch added: "Having the opportunities to do what I do has to be balanced with the industry and the fact that this is how it works.

"Part of the job is sharing some of your personal lives, making it public. Sometimes you've got to take the good with the bad. We all like to read something and we all have to write something."

Finch also revealed that she doesn't want a hectic wedding, saying: "Coming from Townsville, I really crave that relaxed, peaceful environment. I want to capture that when I get married. If I could I would just run away with him - just me and him and no one else."
