'2 Broke Girls' star Kat Dennings: 'I'm not a weirdo'

Kat Dennings has said that she is not "a weirdo".

Dennings is currently starring in CBS's 2 Broke Girls, a comedy about two girls from opposite backgrounds who suddenly become roommates.

"I don't think I'm a weirdo in a bad way, there's just a lot going on in my head," she said in an interview with GQ .

She explained: "Maybe it's a movie thing? I want to see as many movies as I can and I covet a lot of weird influential movies. I have a lot of favourite authors...Douglas Adams and Charlotte Bronte and Richard Brautigan.

"I get obsessed. That could be it - how I get obsessed with things. Though I think if I could put my finger on my exact weirdness I'd be able to change it."

Dennings also confessed that she hates the word "quirky".

"I hate that damn word!" the actress said. "Quirky is what a guy would call a girl he doesn't understand."

Besides 2 Broke Girls, Dennings has also starred in the hit film Thor; however, she revealed that she isn't sure if she will reprise her role as Darcy Lewis in the Marvel movie's sequel.
