While attending the Dove Movement for Self-Esteem kickoff event, the singer revealed that she learned to appreciate her curves with the help of the personal care brand.
"I have never had a stick-thin model, size-zero body," Bedingfield told People. "I definitely battled a lot of insecurities as a young girl."
She continued: "[Dove's ads] helped me accept and love my curvy figure and see myself as womanly."
Bedingfield, who wed California businessman Matt Robinson in March 2009, went on to confess that she feels anxious whenever she thinks about having children.
"To even talk about having kids makes me hot," she added. "I want to take off a layer of clothing."
Earlier this year, the singer revealed that she would love to work with Tinie Tempah on a future track, saying that she is a big fan of the British rapper.
