Sarah Jessica Parker "excited" about Melbourne Cup fashions

Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that she is "excited" about Melbourne Cup.

The I Don't Know How She Does It star, who was invited to attend Oaks Day on Thursday as a special VIP, said that she has been very impressed by the racing fashions that she has seen around Melbourne so far.

Parker told the Herald Sun: "I'm more just excited to go as an audience [member]... [with] everything I've seen thus far I don't know how they would top just how people look today frankly, like even in the hotel lobby. I expect that it's going to be amazing."

As she is in town for the premiere of I Don't Know How She Does It, Parker also talked about what made the storyline so "compelling" to her. She said that the film is a good portrait of working mothers, who sometimes feel like they are "very much in it alone".

Parker also said that her house can sometimes look like a "crime scene", describing 9-year-old James Wilkie and 2-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha as "little animals" who are sometimes "gruesome".

Dita Von Teese was spotted flirting with a male model in the Lavazza tent at Melbourne Cup earlier this week. Kim Kardashian is also scheduled to attend the event.
