Halle Berry alleged stalker pleads not guilty

Richard Franco was arrested in July while trying to trespass onto the actress's property. He appeared at Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday (October 31) to enter his plea. Berry was not present for the hearing.
Franco's trial date has been scheduled for shortly before Christmas, E! News reports.
Berry was granted a permanent restraining order against Franco in August, which prevents him from coming within 100 yards of the star.
Franco will return to court for a pre-trial hearing on November 28, while the trial itself will begin on December 20.
Berry's lawyer has made no comment on the case.
The actress will next appear alongside Robert De Niro and Jessica Biel in New Year's Eve, which opens on December 9 in the US and the UK.
