Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi opening vegan restaurant

The couple have partnered with Pretenders singer Chrissie Hynde and Polar Express producer Steve Bing for the San Fernando Valley, CA eatery.
They have already selected a location on Ventura Boulevard and signed up chef Tal Ronnen to create the menu, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In August, DeGeneres launched the Going Vegan with Ellen website to share meat-free recipes with her fans.
She has also supported the Adopt-A-Turkey Project, which encourages Americans to adopt, not eat, a turkey on Thanksgiving.
DeGeneres recently claimed that she was disappointed by her tenure on American Idol because some contestants didn't show enough gratitude.
