Katie Price: 'I know who tried to destroy me after Peter Andre split'

Katie Price has said that she wants an apology from the person behind stories which emerged following her split from first husband Peter Andre.

Speaking on ITV1's This Morning, Price claimed that various reports put into the public domain had been behind a change in public perception of her.

"Basically when I split with my first husband there were lots of stories going around... we now know the person that was doing all of this," she explained to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.



"They basically tried to destroy me for three years in the media, we are now taking legal action, we know this person... and we're going to get them done for it."

She continued: "Because the public's perception really changed with me when I split with Pete basically and there were all these untrue stories, and I had no control of it. So things are going to be done about it to protect my family and myself and some apologies need to be done."

Meanwhile, Price also offered her "congratulations" to estranged second husband Alex Reid on his recent engagement to girlfriend Chantelle Houghton.



The 33-year-old insisted that she is not worried about being alone, following her split from Leandro Penna, with whom she said she remains friends.

"I've got so many friends around me and family and I'm so busy," she said. "But you know at nighttimes when you're watching TV and stuff and you want that bit of companionship.

"At the moment I've got Michelle Heaton, my best friend, who is pregnant and her husband at mine as they are waiting to move into their new house so it's great, Michelle's cooking for me, so I'm just talking all baby stuff with her at the moment!"
