Naomi Watts becomes face of Jacob's Creek wine

Naomi Watts has been revealed as the face of Jacob's Creek wine.

The actress, who is known for her roles in King Kong and Mulholland Drive, recently agreed to become an international ambassador for the Australian wine company's Cool Harvest range.

Watts told The Daily Telegraph that she is happy about the appointment because wine plays an "important" part in her life.

"Luckily I've got a beautiful beach house in Long Island where friends come and stay for the weekend," she said. "We cook together, play lots of games and the wine comes out; it's a very important ingredient to the weekend."

Watts has two sons with Mental star Liev Schreiber, who was recently rumoured to have had an affair with Australian model Phoebe Roberts. Schreiber's representative strenuously denied the claims, calling them a "complete fabrication".

Roberts later released a statement saying: "I did not and am not having a sexual relationship with Liev Schreiber. We have a professional relationship. We worked together on a film and nothing inappropriate occurred between us."
