The Rise of the Planet of the Apes star will appear at the upcoming NYC Performa arts festival on Sunday, November 13, performing a three-part piece titled Three Artists in Search of Tennessee, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Franco will be joined by video artist Laurel Nakadate for the three-part performance. In the first segment, the two will conduct a séance to attempt to communicate with the deceased author through a Ouija board.
The second part will see actresses try out for the part of Laura in Williams's The Glass Menagerie, while the third segment features actors auditioning for the role of Tom.
The performance will take place at noon on November 13 at the Abrons Art Centre. However, it will also be posted on art website Paddle8.com afterwards for all to see.
Franco recently pulled out of mafia biopic The Iceman. He was supposed to play the mentor to mafia hitman Richard Kuklinski in the film.
The actor also backed out of another project in August, a Broadway production of Williams's 1959 play Sweet Bird of Youth.
