Avril Lavigne boyfriend Brody Jenner attacked with bottle

Avril Lavigne reportedly got into a scuffle with another woman in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to Gossip Cop, the 'Complicated' singer was at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood shortly after midnight when she and the other woman "got in each other's faces".

Lavigne's boyfriend Brody Jenner tried to get involved and pull Lavigne away from the confrontation, but was hit with a glass bottle from behind.

Hotel security broke up the fight before it got more serious, but Jenner was forced to seek medical attention after relaying his side of the story to police.

"Interesting Saturday night, just got out of the hospital with a new scar on my face," Jenner tweeted following the incident.

It is believed that several participants fled the scene after police arrived.
