Joy Behar: 'I waited to marry boyfriend until our parents were dead'

The View co-host married Janowitz in a private New York ceremony on August after 29 years of courtship.
During her appearance on Rachael Ray, Behar said: "I waited until all the parents were dead. So I have no in-laws at all. He has none and I have none.
"'Cos marriage is mostly about in-laws, I find. They always want you to visit them and come for lasagne."
On September, Behar said thatshe also drew inspiration from the legalisation of gay marriage in New York.
She shared: "It did have an influence on me. It brought to my consciousness why gays needed to get married And I thought it was a good reason for me to get married. And so did Steve, so we did it."
