The Australian cricketer, who recently announced his engagement to Elizabeth Hurley, asked professional golfer Tiger Woods to be the guest of honour at the launch night for Club 23 at Crown.
Warne complimented Hurley and her silver cocktail dress at the event, telling the Herald Sun: "She looks absolutely fantastic. Elizabeth picked my tie and I picked her shoes."
Woods revealed during a short speech that he was impressed with the multi-million dollar venue, saying: "This is phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal. We (the American team) are all going to be here for the Presidents Cup and I'm sure we'll come here and have some fun."
He also said that he was a fan of elite sportsmen like Warne, explaining: "People don't realise the price they pay to get there."
Finally, Woods added: "It is finally good to be able to actually be healthy and be able to train properly, not rehab. And my game is starting to come because of it."
Crown boss James Packer also attended the event, together with Australian footballer Harry Kewell and his actress wife Sheree Murphy, Joe Hachem, Jeff Kennett, Bernie Brookes, Jimmy Bartel, Tania Buckley, TV presenter Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Ron Walker, Steve Vizard, and Tom Waterhouse.
