Avril Lavigne, Brody Jenner report alleged assault to police

Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner have filed a police report over an alleged brawl in Hollywood on Saturday.

Jenner was reportedly struck on the head with a bottle when he tried to break up a scuffle between his girlfriend Lavigne and another woman at the Roosevelt Hotel.

Both stars were left with injuries following the altercation, with Jenner later tweeting: "Interesting Saturday night, just got out of the hospital with a new scar on my face."

Lavigne denied starting the fight in a series of posts on her own Twitter account.

She wrote: "To clear things up I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is f**ked."

Jenner officially filed a police report on Monday and charged that he was the victim of assault with a deadly weapon, according to The AP.

LA police Sgt. Keith Green confirmed that no-one has been arrested in the case yet and to his knowledge none of the people involved required serious medical attention.

Lavigne and Jenner haven't commented any further on the matter on Twitter.
