During an interview on The Late Show with David Letterman, the Twilight star revealed that he hoped a career in showbiz would make him more successful with women.
"I wanted to meet girls! That was the main thing," Pattinson said of his Hollywood aspirations.
Pattinson, who is involved with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, added that he is often approached by women of all ages.
"It's not just so much teenage girls. It's older [women] than people realise," he added. "The older ones are the far more passionate fans, yeah. It's funny how the whole genre has changed since Twilight came out. I mean, vampires are now considered attractive, sexy things."
Pattinson recently claimed that he has become more insecure since the success of Twilight, as he can no longer be "delusional" about himself.
He has admitted to feeling anxious about his future career as he will no longer have Twilight to fall back on.
