Sarah Jessica Parker "proud" of Matthew Broderick marriage

Sarah Jessica Parker has declared that she's very "proud" of her and Matthew Broderick's marriage.

The Sex and the City star said the reason that she and Broderick, who married in 1997, have stayed together is because they do not dwell on their problems.

"We don't talk about our marriage a lot, which is probably wise. There are so many other things in our life that take precedence over splitting the atom of our marriage," Parker revealed to Marie Claire UK.

She added: "I'm proud that with lives that are complicated, we keep figuring it out."

Parker went on to praise Broderick for the active role he takes in raising the couple's children, 9-year-old son James Wilkie and 2-year-old twin daughters Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge.

The actress explained: "We have this marvellous family, and our son and daughters are in love with Matthew and I think that's wonderful. There's always a moment where you see him through their eyes and it's really seductive - I think that's great for a marriage."

Parker will next co-star with Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Biel in New Year's Eve, which opens on December 8 in the UK and on December 9 in the US.
