Viola Davis: 'Baby daughter Genesis is awesome'

Viola Davis has described her baby daughter as "awesome".

The Help star, who adopted a baby girl named Genesis with her husband Julius Tennon in October, gushed about her new child.

"She's awesome. I mean, I know every parent says their child is awesome, but she's awesome," Davis told Access Hollywood.

Davis went on to confess that she finds it difficult to be away from Genesis.

"She's so pretty and she [says], 'Mama, I'm your baby!' That's how she says it," she said.

The 46-year-old insisted that she and Julius are working hard to keep the passion alive in their relationship.

"We have a lot of date nights," she told the website. "Even being with the baby's a date night.

"That's right. Baby goes to sleep at eight o'clock - it's date night at home."

Davis previously said that her daughter was a complete blessing.
