Jennifer Hawkins: 'Modelling is superficial but I'm real'

Jennifer Hawkins has described herself as "real".

The Australian supermodel, who is engaged to builder Jake Wall, said that she finds it important to step out of the fashion world sometimes in order to stay grounded.

Hawkins told InStyle magazine: "I think I have a realness to me. The glam world is fantastic, but if you're always in it, it gets superficial."

She has previously said that fashion is not her only passion in life and that she loves developing properties with Wall. They currently own five houses in and around Sydney and will soon move to their renovated home in North Curl Curl.

Hawkins explained: "My parents and brothers are into property, so real estate is in the blood... My ex-boss, Donald Trump [co-owner of the Miss Universe pageant], gave me some pointers."

Hawkins and Wall were both recently named in Who magazine's 'Sexiest People 2011' list. She said that she finds Wall's "presence" sexy, adding that she thinks that he is "athletic, healthy [and] cheeky".
