The actor was appearing at his annual event titled 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's', to help raise money and awareness for the disease and his Michael J Fox Foundation.
He performed a version of Chuck Berry's 'Johnny B Goode' that harked back to a classic scene from 1985's Back to the Future, where Fox starred as Marty McFly.
Attendees at the Waldorf-Astoria event included his wife Tracy Pollan, his Good Wife co-star Julianna Margulies and comedian Ricky Gervais.
The 50-year-old was diagnosed with the disease in 1991, and has helped to raise money and awareness for the infliction ever since.
Michael J Fox will make a return in The Good Wife for multiple episodes.
