Charlize Theron: 'I've never been single'

Charlize Theron has confessed that she has always been in a relationship since her teenage years.

The Snow White and the Huntsman actress revealed that she is not used to being single, but is finally without a partner for the first time in decades.

"I've never been single. This is the first time in my life. From the time I was 19, I've been in relationships, literally gone from one to the other within a month," Theron explained in a new interview with Vogue.

"Being single's been good for me. I'm a creature who's really found her comfort zone in relationships."

Theron also spoke out on her January 2010 split from long-time boyfriend Stuart Townsend after nine years together.

"It was sinking, and I had to give it a fight. I really wanted to try and make it work. That was the priority. I wouldn't do it any different way," she said.

Theron has insisted that marriage is not important to her and is not necessary for a fulfilling relationship.
