'Twilight' star Kellan Lutz: 'I've always loved fashion'

Kellan Lutz has opened up about his decision to launch a clothing line.

The Twilight star revealed that while he has always been interested in fashion, he turned to designer Danny Guez for help in creating his menswear collection Abbot + Main.

"I have always loved fashion, but I have no expertise in it besides being a model," Lutz told Access Hollywood.

The actor went on to say that he feels grateful that he was able to work alongside Guez.

Lutz continued: "I'm learning from a high caliber, true genius. I didn't want... to be the face of some product I wouldn't actually wear. If we were going to do this, I wanted to learn everything that Danny had to teach.

"Even if it failed, I'd still have something that I'd wear!"

Lutz also revealed that he plans to launch a female line in the future.

"A woman looks her sexiest when she feels comfortable in what she's wearing," he said. "That's what I hope to capture with the female line."

Lutz is currently dating Australian actress Sharni Vinson.

The actor previously suggested that he could collaborate with Twilight star Robert Pattinson on a joint clothing line.
